A easy hiking route in Alicante that can be fulfilled in 3 hours.
We will start the route in rural accommodation Llar de Beniarda walking towards the Guadalest reservoir.

This route can be done in both directions but we recommend you to take first the paved track with little traffic for the way there and then return by the small path so that the way back will be much more enjoyable.
This entire hiking route runs along the reservoir with spectacular views of the mountains of Aitana, Serrella and Xortà, spotting on one side of the reservoir: Guadalest and its castle, Benimantell and Benifato.

We will take Sant Francesc street and go down to the river, passing in front of the local swimming pool of Beniardá. We cross the bridge over Guadalest river and we turn right to follow the asphalted track all the way straight to the dam. There is no way to get lost, although the track at a certain moment forks towards Castell de Castells, we will continue to the right.

Along the way we will pass through fields with spectacular views of the other side of the reservoir.

Once we reach the dam, we will cross it and go through the gate on the right to return along a mountain path that surrounds the reservoir.

We will continue without detouring until we cross a small stream that leads us to the track that climbs up to the village.

During your stay in Lllar de Beniarda you will have more detailed information about the route and we will provide you with the track of the route for your GPS or mobile phone for free.
